Yellowknife is known as the 'Aurora Capital of the World' and we boost ~240 aurora viewing nights each year. Bucket List Tour invites you to take the Cozy Cabin Aurora Tour for an evening of Aurora hunting, complete with a midnight lunch of fresh baked bannock and a fish chowder. We stay cozy all tour as we hunt the aurora from the comfort of the cozy cabin in the middle of the northern wilderness. The Cozy Cabin is situated on 2 acres and there is plenty of room for all to enjoy the dancing aurora. 


  • We pick up guests from all hotels & select B&B's as listed on our tour checkout form (please refer to the listed options when you book your tour)
  • Pickup time is dependent on your location; please be in your hotel lobby at the time indicated on the tour checkout form and allow for 15 minutes for us to arrive. We travel in a luxury coach shuttle bus out to the Cozy Cabin. 
  • Stories are shared and there is northern clothing (furs and parkas) for photos and learning. 
  • An evening lunch of hot baked bannock served with a fish chowder. We have a large selection of teas, and hot chocolate. (The soup is cream based, and if requested in advance the chowder may be altered for vegetarian guests)  
  • the tour is slated to end by 1:30, however if the aurora is still providing us with a good show we may ask the group if they would like to stay longer. 
  • We drop off all guests at their hotels and B&Bs.
Our tour groups are small and intimate, with a minimum of 6 and not exceeding 20 guests. Your guide is very knowledgeable and will share stories throughout the night. We try our best to answer all your questions about Yellowknife and the region. 


We stay warm and cozy all night and hunt the aurora from the comfort of the Cozy Cabin.

We will take photos with a camera phone and send to your social media the evening of the tour. This is included in the tour (no charge). 

Upon request we may offer professional photographers to be booked and visit the cabin. Can arrange at time of booking.

There is a minimum of 6 guests needed for this tour. Bookings can be made individually and we will notify you in advance if there are not enough bookings for the date you've selected. 

If the date you want is fully booked, please opt to join the waitlist or choose another date that may work for you.
